I saw one more stone bearing a
carved history, as I made my way up the mountain.
This one was actually about Prince
Sidon.
He traveled to—I don’t remember the
name of the bay—to confront an enormous octorok that had been terrorizing the
populace there, and wreaking havoc on the fishing trade.
He battled with it valiantly to be
sure, but in the end—it swallowed him
whole.
Many a brave Zora had gone that
way, and none had ever returned.
But just when all seemed lost, the
octorok began to writhe and twist in pain—its stomach distended and bulged—Prince Sidon’s spear tip pierced its side.
The beast could suffer no further
wounding, and so coughed up the Prince onto the beach and fled away into the sea.
And none had ever seen it again.
....
Why do I have a feeling that might
be about to change....?
